I know that participating in a run/walk event is potentially hazardous.
I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my accepting and completing my registration to this event, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them.
I assume all risks associated with the event, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course. I further agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and other communicable diseases, and I attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. All of these risks are known and appreciated by me.
In addition, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases by participating in this event. I acknowledge that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and/or death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event and personally assume this risk.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, and anyone acting on my behalf, waive, release and hold harmless TeamFootWorks, the American Association of Running Clubs, all suppliers, event director, all sponsors, all event volunteers, 701-703 Waterford Operating LP, 1000 Waterford Operating LP, 5200 Waterford Operating LP, 5201-5301 Waterford Operating LP, Waterford Core Operating LP, Waterford Blue Lagoon LP, Waterford Business District Property Owners Association, Inc, Nuveen Real Estate, Allianz, Cushman & Wakefield, U.S., Inc, and Miami Dade County, including all the aforementioned named parties' respective directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, representatives and successors and any individual or group associated therewith, from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, of any kind, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of my negligence or carelessness, and/or the negligence or carelessness of any individual or organization named in this waiver.
I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, verbal or written statements, or any other record of this event, for any legitimate purpose.
I agree to share the contact information from my registration form with the event benefactors and to be contacted by them regarding future events.
REFUND POLICY: I acknowledge that my entry fees for the Waterford 5K are not refundable under any circumstance, this includes event cancellation.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to any reason or event not in the Race Management's control such as natural disaster, inclement weather, other acts of God, municipality directives, curfews, damage to race site, or other emergencies. Management may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes.
I am of legal age, have read this release, fully understand it, and freely agree to all of its terms.
