Participant Waiver

Acknowledgment of Risk:

I acknowledge that participating in a run/walk program is potentially hazardous.

I will not enter or participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. By accepting and completing my registration for this program, I certify that I am medically able to participate, am in good health, and am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a program official regarding any aspect of my participation in this program, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason.

I assume all risks associated with participating in this program, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather (such as high heat and/or humidity), road conditions, and traffic. I also acknowledge the risks of exposure to communicable diseases, and I voluntarily assume all such risks, recognizing that such exposure could result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.

If I am signing on behalf of a minor participant, I certify that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian, and that the minor is medically able to participate in this program. I acknowledge that I have read and understand this waiver in its entirety, and I accept all of the terms on behalf of the minor. I also agree that all references to "I" or "me" in this waiver include the minor for whom I am signing.

Responsibility for Equipment: I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring that my equipment and attire are safe and appropriate for participation in this program, including footwear, clothing, and accessories.

Emergency Contact Information: I agree to provide accurate emergency contact information as part of my registration and consent to program officials contacting that person in the event of an emergency.

Medical Treatment Authorization: I hereby authorize program officials, representatives, and/or medical personnel to provide emergency medical treatment as they deem appropriate in the event of an injury, accident, or illness during my participation in this program.

Acknowledgment of Rules and Regulations: I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by program officials and understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the program.

Code of Conduct: I agree to conduct myself respectfully toward other participants, program officials, and volunteers. I understand that inappropriate behavior, including harassment or disruptive conduct, may result in removal from the program without refund.

Insurance Disclosure: I understand that this program does not provide personal health, accident, or liability insurance for participants, and I am encouraged to have my own coverage in case of injury or illness.

Waiver and Release of Liability: Having read this waiver and understanding these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, the minor, and anyone acting on our behalf, waive, release, and hold harmless TeamFootWorks, the Road Runners Club of America, all suppliers, sponsors, vendors, and agencies (including, but not limited to, the municipalities in which the program is held), and all of the aforementioned parties’ respective directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, representatives, and successors, from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of my or the minor's participation in this program, even if such liability arises from my or the minor's negligence or carelessness or the negligence or carelessness of any individual or organization named in this waiver.

Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless TeamFootWorks, the Road Runners Club of America, the City of Miami, the City of Coral Gables, the City of South Miami, all sponsors, vendors, agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, and representatives from any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, or damages, including those brought by third parties, arising from or related to my participation in this program. This includes, but is not limited to, claims resulting from my own actions, omissions, or negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the aforementioned parties for any costs, expenses, or legal fees incurred in the defense of such claims.

Environmental Considerations: I agree to respect the environment and follow all guidelines related to waste disposal and environmental protection during my participation in this program.

Media Release: I grant permission to all of the aforementioned parties to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, verbal or written statements, or any other record of this program for any legitimate purpose.

Consent To Share Contact Information: I agree to share the contact information from my registration form with the program benefactors and to be contacted by them regarding future programs or other communications.

Refund Policy: I acknowledge that my entry fees for the program are non-refundable under any circumstances, including program cancellation.

Cancellation Policy: TeamFootWorks reserves the right to postpone or cancel the program due to circumstances beyond their control, such as natural disasters or other emergencies. Registration fees for the program will not be refunded. Management may also alter the route and distances for the safety of participants.

Consent and Understanding: I am of legal age, or the parent/legal guardian of a participating minor, have read this release, fully understand it, and freely agree to all of its terms.
